DEBRA KOOPMANN, LCSW
FOUNDER AND LEAD CLINICIAN
Debra is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has over 26 years experience in the mental health field. Her specialities include working with teens and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression and mood disorders. She enjoys helping college age students as well as women through various life transitions. She also helps people work through grief and loss issues. Debra helps clients identify and change their perceptions to foster a new awareness so they move towards better self-esteem, healthier coping strategies and more positive relationships. "My mission is to help people live an authentic life with integrity. I want to help people find their way to being balanced in Mind, Body and Spirit." Debra received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MSW Degree from Aurora University.

DAVID KOOPMANN, ED.D, LCPC
CLINICIAN
Dr. Koopmann has been working in mental health for over 25 years. He has comprehensive psychological experience that has included working in a psychiatric hospital, outpatient clinics, forensics, education and private practice. Dr. Koopmann specializes in working with adolescents and adults. He uses a cognitive behavioral approach to identify attitudes and beliefs that hinder positive progress. He specializes in mood disorders, anxiety, attentional concerns, conduct disorders, anger management, relationship issues, forensic assessment and treatment, psycho-educational assessments and academic difficulties. Dr. Koopmann received a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from The Adler School of Professional Psychology, a Masters Degree in School Psychology from Governors
State University and a Doctorate in Education from Aurora University.

Timothy Karmik, LSW
CLINICIAN
Tim is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who has been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. He received a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University and is currently a School Social Worker of 20 years, working with middle and high school age students. In addition, Tim is a Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor and a Virtual Instructional Coach for novice School Social Workers around the state of Illinois. Tim has a collaborative approach, working WITH the individual to build confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, and acceptance for the amazing differences that makes a person who they are.Write a bio for each team member.
